Yes, quail. Chicken junior. Mini fowl. Tiny bird. A welcome suprise at the early Christmas lunch at my grandmother's house today. Deep fried awesomeness. You can't pick this up at the grocery store.
At least I don't think you can, hmm, I should check on this...
You know what? I'm a "good ol' Southern girl" and can you believe that I have never once eaten quail?
